Sprigging is the most cost effective means of planting vegetative turf grasses. Sprigs are planted at specific rates, depending on the requirements of the project. The sprigging rates for Golf Course fairways range from 350 to 500 bushels per acre. Tees and greens are typically planted at rates of 15 to 20 bushels per 1000 square feet. We have developed sprigging equipment to plant sprigs into existing vegetation. Our 'Slitsprigger' is a unique machine that enables us to replant winterkilled or damaged areas quickly and efficiently.
